Paul was my roommate in north Phoenix at the Betty Elyse house for a little over two years. His bedroom was right next to mine and I can’t count how many late nights or early mornings I’d wake up to Paul playing his rock and roll music and singing along to it. Although we did not get along at first..mostly because of my own pride..we very quickly became close friends and The Lord began to do a work in my heart to love Paul and accept him as my new roommate. Paul was quick to fight but he was also quick to apologize and ask forgiveness. My dog Lucy loved Paul. He would do his stretching upstairs in the loft and she would always try to cuddle with him and it always put a big smile on his face. A funny memory I have of Paul was the night he got some really gnarly leg cramps late at night and would walk out of his room hollering in pain (I thought he needed an ambulance that’s how bad it was). Paul always had a lot to say about everything. He always gave words of encouragement to everyone in the house. He always had words of wisdom to share whether you wanted to hear it or not. My favorite memory with Paul was when he came to know The Lord Jesus Christ and received Him as Lord. It saddens me that he is gone but I rejoice in knowing and trusting that he is in heaven with our Savior. See you soon buddy (:
