We met at a local Wellesley squash club-a passion. In fairness Paul began to play me left handed so we could enjoy it often. (Noteworthy-I could beat him in tennis 😉). Our lives were gloriously filled with sports. Built a ski house in VT and proceeded to teach him to ski-only shortly thereafter to lose him to the black diamond bump runs.
We ran together often and once after slipping off a curb he insisted on finishing run (quitting wasn’t in his DNA) only to return home to a badly sprained ankle. All family members managed a marathon (one sane exception PJ). Watched him swim across Duxbury bay all summer training for an Ironman triathlon (as you can see finishing one goal and then pushing higher!)
Sports were a big and joyous part of family life and so many fond memories flood my brain. We could participate together in all 4 seasons. Like so many who have posted we’ll always feel now something missing. But our joy is in the gift of having him in our lives as long as we did. My love to all his 5 children to whom he brought much joy ❤️
